Ravenna is one of those neighborhoods in Seattle that's small but still has a clear identity. The Burke-Giliman trail runs through it, its adjacent to the U district (and Uvill), and it has its own brewery. Unless a video game comes out set here it's this last point that we're going to focus on today. Ravenna Brewing Company was our destination this week.

Summer in Seattle is defined by the nice weather in a way unique to the space. In a city that only averages 70 sunny days a year we savor each good day. A great way to spend these days, I've discovered, is at Ravenna Brewing Company.
I found that I wasn't alone. The place was packed on the sunny evening that I visited this modest brewery. I don't want to undervalue that last statement though, because the outside seating was actually larger than the (still spacious) interior.
The interior is humble but manages to be both comfortable and fitting for the space. A small bar sits at one end. Behind it sings hand one off of another proclaiming the beers available. I'm told there's no flagship here, but some of the beer signs look more permanent than others.
Other attractions behind the bar are a few medals and all the machinery for crowlers. The bartenders themselves are all friendly and were ready with beer suggestions and a sticker for my collection.
The seats are all longish tables with bench seats. Like I said for the rest of the interior they seem very fitting for the brewery. Dogs move and sit between the seats as people like up for more pints. It all feels very relaxed.
I should between the also mention, this being a brewery AND video game blog, that the brewery is also a pokestop.
We found this brewery a friendly and fun spot in Seattle, and one I'm going to make a destination the next sunny day I'm out for a bike ride. The website tells of expansion plans so it's only going to get better.
